Old Memphis Cemetery

I saw a Facebook post about a beautiful abandoned cemetery near the Alabama/Mississippi state line. I had to find it. Thankfully, Lee was willing to join me in the adventure. We wandered up and down dirt roads in the middle of nowhere looking for this place. The second place we parked at and walked into the woods gave us what we were looking for, Old Memphis Cemetery. To explore this place that very few people had visited in decades was intriguing. We didn't know these people, but they are still remembered.

We heard crashing through the woods and I was scared. It was just an armadillo passing by. 

We found it! 

Crystal River, Florida - first time seeing a manatee

We were snorkeling in murky water, stirred up by the vast numbers of people in a small area. People kept saying, "There's one, there's one." I was afraid I wouldn't see a manatee because I  was seeing nothing. All of the sudden, a manatee swims by in front of my face and I freaked out, backpedaling as quickly as I could. He was so much larger than I expected.
After seeing that first one, I found Lee and we went back and waited. Two swam right beside us, bumping into us as they passed. We had both seen manatees!

Isabella, Puerto Rico

We found Guajataca Tunnel because we wanted to escape our terrible hostel for the evening. We weren't sure about it but it looked pretty cool on the internet so we set out. This was a completely unplanned stop and truly made the hostel worth it. After walking through the tunnel, we were literally in another world. We saw another group of people going and another couple getting photos made at sunset on the way back. Otherwise, we were completely alone to enjoy the ocean by ourselves. It was a truly amazing experience. Perfect moment in Puerto Rico.
